Print opens the iOS print sheet with your document, so you can print it on any AirPrint printer. The PDF is made on your iPhone.
What it is
Print builds a high-quality PDF of the document, with its signatures, annotations, watermark and timestamp, and opens the iOS print sheet. There you choose the printer, the number of copies, the pages and the paper.
Step by step
- Open the document and tap Share.
- Tap Print (“With AirPrint. The PDF is made on this iPhone.”). Or tap Tools, then Print under Convert, and pick the document.
- In the print sheet, choose your printer and options.
- Tap Print.
In a private vault, open the scan and tap Share → Print.
Free and Pro
Print is free.
Privacy
- The PDF is made on your iPhone and goes from iOS straight to the printer you pick. Paperwise doesn’t send it to our server.
- The PDF exists only while the print sheet is open, and is deleted when it closes, printed or not. In a vault, it’s written to the vault’s own temporary space for the print sheet and deleted right after.
- An ID, a medical paper, a bank statement or a tax paper asks for Face ID first.
- The print sheet is part of iOS and has its own share button, which can save the PDF elsewhere. Whatever you save from there is an ordinary, readable copy.
Tips
- To print an ID card or a collage at real size, choose 100% (or turn off “Fit to page”) in the print options.
- Print an ID photo sheet on 4 × 6 in (10 × 15 cm) photo paper.
- The printed PDF has no password, even on Pro: iOS can’t print a protected PDF.
What if…
What if it says to wait?
“Wait for the pages to finish cleaning up.” Some pages are still being processed. Try again in a moment.
What if I see “Couldn’t open the print sheet.”?
Close the document, open it again and try once more. If your printer doesn’t appear, check that it’s on the same Wi-Fi network and supports AirPrint.
